Who we are

Jacqueline Hair & Beauty (Jacqueline Hair Gallery) is a hair and beauty salon at 53 Hulme Court, Myaree WA 6154. This policy explains what personal information we collect through this website, our booking system and our advertising, how we use it, and how you can access or correct it. We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles.

What we collect

When you book: your name, phone number, email address, the service and time you choose, and any notes you add. Bookings and deposits are taken on Square Appointments. Your card details go to Square and are never stored by us.

When you join our list: your email address.

When you visit the site: technical information such as pages viewed, the link or ad that brought you here, device and browser type, collected through cookies and similar tools described below.

In the salon: notes about your hair, colour formulas and treatments, so we can repeat or adjust your colour next time.

How we use it

To confirm, remind you of and manage your appointments, including deposits and cancellations.

To keep your colour history so your next service starts from what worked last time.

To send you salon news if you asked for it. Every email has an unsubscribe link.

To understand which of our ads and pages bring people to book, and to show our ads to people likely to be interested.

We do not sell your personal information.

Cookies, Meta Pixel and advertising

This site uses the Meta Pixel, a tool from Meta Platforms (Facebook and Instagram). It records visits and actions such as tapping a booking button, so we can measure our ads and show them to relevant audiences. Meta may combine this with information it already holds about you under its own privacy policy.

You can control ad personalisation in your Facebook and Instagram ad settings, and you can block or delete cookies in your browser at any time. The site still works without them.

Who we share it with

Square (bookings and payments), Meta (advertising measurement), our website host, and email or messaging tools we use to contact you. These providers may store information outside Australia, including in the United States. We only share what they need to provide their service.

We may also disclose information where the law requires it.

Keeping it safe

We keep personal information only as long as we need it for the purposes above or as the law requires, and we take reasonable steps to protect it from misuse, loss and unauthorised access.

Access, correction and complaints

You can ask to see or correct the information we hold about you, or ask us to delete it, by calling 0424 616 893 or speaking to us in the salon. We will respond within 30 days.

If you are not satisfied with how we handle a privacy concern, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
